Watersheds Coalition of Ventura County -The coalition is a consortium of local cities, wholesale and retail water agencies, sanitation districts, the County of Ventura, and non-governmental agencies interested in promoting and implementing integrated regional water management planning efforts. 

The Santa Clara River Parkway - The Santa Clara River Parkway is a project of the California State Coastal Conservancy, in collaboration with the Nature Conservancy’s LA-Ventura Project, Friends of the Santa Clara River, private landowners and local governments, to acquire and restore floodplain land along the lower Santa Clara River for habitat, flood protection, and recreation.

The California Watershed Browser - The Water Browser lets users drill down through a map of California’s watersheds using the CalWater geographic dataset.  Once an area of interest is identified, the user can easily locate and retrieve digital and scanned USGS map sheets for the area.  A user can also ask for a list of rare species and natural communities inventoried by Fish and Games Natural Diversity Data Base.

The Local Government Commission’s Strategy - The Local Government Commission (LGC) is working with agencies and organizations to develop a watershed-based strategy for aligning local planning and stormwater management to minimize the water quality impacts of future development in Ventura County.

Malibu Creek Watershed Council - A unique partnership of government agencies, local organizations, industry and the public, working together to restore and protect the Malibu creek watershed.

The USGS and Science Education - The U.S. Geological Survey provides scientific information intended to help educate the public about natural resources, natural hazards, geospatial data, and issues that affect our quality of life.  Discover selected online resources, including lessons, data, maps, and more, to support teaching, learning, education (K-12), and university-level inquiry and research.

Calleguas Creek Watershed Management - This subcommittee’s responsibilities include:  preparing habitat inventory, mapping species of concern, identifying habitat for restoration, exercising conservation management, and creating a recreational strategy that identifies public access to the water resource, drafting the Watershed Management Plan.
